Dydd Mercher: Pen and Ink Club
Apr. 11th, 2018 05:00 amGood morning everyone! I'm still
evil_little_dog and today's theme is "Pen and Ink Club". Prompts should be based in comic books, comic strips, web comics, or manga fandoms!
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Calvin and Hobbes, Susie Derkins+/Calvin, Prom date
+ Saiyuki, Sha Gojyo + Son Goku, Pie eating contest
+ Vertigo comics, Death (Didi)+Any, the world is ending
+ Peanuts, Charlie Brown + Linus Van Pelt, Linus proposes to Marcie, not Sally
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2018 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2018-04-11 06:36 pm (UTC)She can see her rising from the water, the sun resplinded and sparkling on her scales, her bare flesh, and her crimson red hair. Red wasn’t always a bad color. It didn’t always stand for blood and death. It used to be the flash of her lover under the water, the flash of the one other woman in the world who seemed to understand her and what she truly wanted, the flash that brought happiness and love with it. They were tender times, the best times Diana’s ever lived, but like all good things, they had not been meant to last.
“Your Majesty?”
Diana blinks, her mind withdrawing from the past. She could live there forever, but right now, as usual, as seemingly always, there are people needing her, people whose very lives are at stake. “We begin,” she speaks crisply as the rising wind whips her long, black locks. “They want a war. We’ll give them one.” Summer is over. The long, brutal Fall is just beginning. Diana shivers in the bright sunlight; she has a feeling already that this Winter will be the coldest and hardest one yet.
Even so, she won’t forget Mera. They say you never forget your first love, and for Diana Prince, that is especially true. She will never forget the Goddess of the Sea. She’ll never forget her own personal, fun-loving, and beautiful mermaid. She’ll never forget the warmth of her love, and she carries it with her now as she raises her shield upon which the golden warmth of the sun blazes and lets rip a battle cry. Mera will be with her always, in heart and in soul, till the very end.
The End
