Your prompt for this crisp, November day is History Books. Drop your characters into medieval times, the Civil War, maybe World War II or have them studying from history books. Anything history related is welcome!

No spoiler prompts for a week after it has aired - and, if your ficlet contains spoilers, put a warning in bold and leave three spaces. This is especially important since we've hit premiere season with tv shows.

She remembers that the most, because there was honestly nothing to do back then. She's pretty surprised she managed to entertain herself as it is.
The knock is gentle and all too loud (she already knows). Blackness swells in her veins, but she smiles and walks through the door.
Recalls the velvety feel of twine wrapping its way around slender neck that was never her own.
Addicted to the feel of air swelling in her chest, struggling for more.
