I always like to start off with a word-limit challenge, and seventeen is my favorite number, so today’s theme is 17 Words.
Prompts can be anything, but fills should be 17 words in length. (Multiples of 17 are okay, too.)
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]

Date: 2018-05-22 04:27 pm (UTC)When Vance calls Gibbs into his office early in the morning after a late night, Gibbs knows it's not about the case. It's about coffee. They drink it black, without speaking, then Gibbs is back to the case and Vance is back to paperwork, both with fresh eyes.
The coffee helps; the company helps more.

Date: 2018-05-21 06:36 pm (UTC)It wasn't that he had never been afraid before. He had pushed Spencer out of his life, because he was afraid of the feelings he had been developing toward his friend.
His sudden death (and re-birth) brought those feelings into sharp focus. He knew Spencer liked Martha, but he was going to prove to him that he would be the better choice, because he finally understood the fear that his friend lived with every day; and he wanted to be the reason that the fear lessened.
He understood and wanted to share that with Spencer.
