Wednesday: Rarepairs
May. 30th, 2018 09:01 amHello, everyone! Once again, I’m
reeby10 and today's theme is rarepairs. Prompts can be any ship that's rare or uncommon. Fandoms can be large or small, just as long as you consider the ship to be a rarepair!
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Better Off Ted, Lem Hewitt/Phil Myman, experimentation
+ MCU, Nick Fury/Natasha Romanov, lights off
+ Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant, Darren Shan/Steve Leonard, where anger ends
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2018 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2018-05-30 05:11 pm (UTC)Fill: with Ran!Aya
Date: 2018-05-31 03:18 am (UTC)People imagined Aya could be dangerous, though, with his sharp glances and the frosty air he carried with him, his calm the eye of a storm.
No one imagined that the person Aya went to when he needed to escape the horror of Weiss’s existence was Omi - mostly because no one imagined that Weiss even existed. What horror was in a florist’s existence?
The horror of blood, of bodies buried in soil that made roses bloom, of lives taken as easily as petals plucked.
In the summer, between school terms, it was easy to erase the boundaries between Aya and Omi. Omi wasn’t wearing uniforms, wasn’t doing homework, was spending all day in the shop beside Aya, elbow-deep in potting soil and flower cuttings and bouquets. And he was spending all night beside Aya, wielding his weapons, taking lives.
In the summer, Omi liked to sleep on the roof, gaze up at the stars, imagine himself anywhere but here. In the summer, Aya liked to lie beside him, hold him, kiss him, lose himself in Omi’s embrace and imagine himself anyone but who he was.
Omi was the only one who knew Aya’s real name. If given the chance, he’d probably be very noisy during sex, but Youji was nosy and Ken was a light sleeper, and even if both of them understood flowers and murder, neither of them would understand Aya and Omi together. So Omi did his best to be quiet, whispered what he would have shouted in Aya’s ear as he came.
One night, after they’d both climaxed, they curled together, panting and trembling.
“Ran,” Aya said.
“What about them?” Orchids, the name meant.
“It’s my real name.”
Omi turned to him, blinked. (He’d later learn that he, too, had a real name.) “Your real -?”
“Next time,” Aya said, “say my real name.”
Next time, Omi did, the two of them, under the summer sky, and for one more season, they were survivors.

They had breakfast together
But two eggs don't last
Like the feeling of what he needs

And love can hurt so badly
And stories end so sadly
But this is not the end
You still have my heartache
I still have your sweater
Things they will get better
Oh, but not today
