Huwebes: Movies
Jun. 28th, 2018 12:49 amHello, everyone. I’m
nagi_schwarz and today's theme is movies. Prompts can be movie titles, quotes from movies, fusions or crossovers with your favorite movies or movie fandoms, or your characters watching, making, or otherwise being involved with movies.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling…
+ Stargate Multiverse, any, post-declassification when personnel have to help cast the people who will play them in movies
+ Any sci-fi, any, ending up in an alternate universe where your life is a movie (like SPN’s The French Mistake)
+ Marvel Cinematic Universe, Bucky Barnes +/ Steve Rogers, movie marathons to get caught up on all the good ones they missed
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2018 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Fill: Star Wars, post-TLJ, Poe/Finn + Leia, rated G
Date: 2018-06-29 02:50 am (UTC)"What we need," he mutters, trying his very best not to despair. He knows that if they don't have hope, they truly don't have anything. "What I need is just for someone to hold me and tell me everything will be all right." It's a stupid joke, foolish and inappropriate for the situation, but-
Poe feels arms come around him from behind and looks over his shoulder to find Finn's face close to his. "Everything's going to be all right," he says with a calm Poe finds truly amazing before giving him a soft kiss.
Leia clears her throat lightly, and when the two men look back at her, she's smiling. "That's exactly what I mean. Look around you, Poe."
He does, and he knows Finn is looking, too, still holding him. On the other side of the Falcon's hold, Rey keeps watch over the still-unconscious Rose. Lieutenant Connix ensures the droids are plugged in and charging properly. A pair of troopers sleep wrapped in each other's arms.
"We have each other," Leia explains. "That's what the Resistance is - people who care and look out for one another. As long as that care exists in the galaxy, the Resistance lives."
Poe lets out a breath and nods. She's right. It's not ships and ammunition, but it's something. It's a start.
It's hope.
Leia lays a hand on his arm. "Rest, Poe. We all need it. It'll be easier to start again when we're fresh."
"Yes, ma'am." Poe turns, and Finn is already sliding an around around him to lead him away.
Leia smiles after them, glad to see that they too have each other.

“He is also alive, which is more than can be said for the corpse. I would value your input here.”
“What? Oh, of course. He’s dead, from multiple stab wounds.”
“Even Anderson could have told me that. But look at the angle of the wounds. How would someone inflict them like that? You’re about the same height as the victim; stand there and let me stab you.”
John grinned. “Make it so, Mr Holmes!”

Date: 2018-06-28 02:43 pm (UTC)Fill 1/2 + Rodney and Ronon
Date: 2018-06-29 04:44 am (UTC)John glanced down at his file, then up at them.
“You’re brothers?” he asked.
Evan Lorne and Rodney McKay looked nothing alike, though they were of a height and broad across the chest and shoulders, both had stunning blue eyes.
“In every way that counts,” Evan said, and picked up his mug of coffee, sipped from it. He had a tattoo along the outside of his right hand, down his index finger. Aequitas.
Rodney had a similar tattoo along the outside of his left hand. Veritas.
Evan turned to Rodney, said something in a rolling tongue that John had never heard before, that made Rodney laugh. They had matching tattoos on the sides of their necks. Constellations. Aries and Cancer.
“You big into astrology?” John asked.
Rodney curved a hand over the tattoo for a moment. “From stardust we come and to stardust we will return.”
“I’m a Gemini myself,” John offered.
Evan said, “You know how people are, when the stars align - or when there’s a full moon.”
Rodney rolled his eyes. “That’s a myth. The full moon doesn’t actually make people act different. Crime rates are no higher on full moons than on any other nights in the lunar cycle.
Evan grinned, and Rodney sighed again.
“Right. You’re winding me up.”
There was a reason Rodney’s tattoo was Veritas.
Why was Evan’s Aequitas?
By all accounts Evan and Rodney had only been defending themselves when some thugs from one of the local Genii gangs stormed into the bar where they were drinking with friends from the factory where they worked and started a fight. The Genii had been getting too big for their boots, putting pressure on local business owners to scare up protection money. The locals were glad that Kolya and his men were gone and done. Evan and Rodney were being hailed as heroes - or Saints.
“Well, I’m not here to arrest you,” John said. “Just wanted to get your side of the story.”
Rodney’s gaze darkened. He still had nasty welts around his wrists from where he’d been cuffed to the toilet.
“Well, you got it,” Evan said. “Thanks for the java and donuts.” He pushed his chair back, stood.
Rodney did the same.
They wore matching black t-shirts and matching necklaces that looked like dog tags, but best as John could see from the records that Boston PD had pulled, neither of them had served in any branch of the Armed Forces.
“Be careful out there,” John said.
Evan smiled over his shoulder, sweet and dimpled and also a little frightening. “We always are.”
He and Rodney shrugged on matching black coats, pulled on matching sunglasses, and stepped into the cool spring morning.
