Thursday: 100 Words on Childhood
Aug. 23rd, 2018 12:21 amHi! I’m
brumeier, and this week we’re going to be filling themes using 100 words or any multiple of 100. Today’s theme is CHILDHOOD, anything and everything about childhood (visits to grandparents, best friends, school, etc.)!
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Stargate Atlantis, John Sheppard/Rodney McKay, meeting at a specialized summer camp as kids
+ Trixie Belden Mysteries/The Three Investigators, Trixie Belden +/ Jupiter Jones, revisiting a childhood memory
+ Hawaii Five-0, Steve McGarrett/Danny Williams + Charlie Williams, You’re Driving Me Crazy, You’re Driving Me Nuts (Home Improvement)
+ Any, Any, discovering that their child is interested in the same hobby/activity/etc.
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2016 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2018-08-23 04:36 pm (UTC)That other kid probably wasn’t even attending the camp, was someone’s sibling; everyone else was older.
He saw Rodney, smiled. Rodney couldn’t afford to have a crush on him - he was probably all beauty no brains anyway.
“Hey,” the boy said, “Prime Not Prime?” He recited a number.
“Prime,” Rodney said.
“Mersenne Prime.” The boy winked.
Rodney was in love.

Date: 2018-08-23 10:13 pm (UTC)“Dress up.” Maria handed him a large tunic she’d sewn herself.
Tony eyed it. “Dress-up’s for girls.”
“We’re dressing up as superheroes,” Maria said.
“Like Batman?”
“Or Superman.”
Tony pulled on the tunic, looked at it. “Superman is red and blue.”
“Well, Super Tony is red and yellow.”
“Why yellow?”
“Because,” Maria said, “Super Tony is bright like the sun.”
He smiled.
“Now,” Maria said, pulling on her own costume, “what’s Super Tony’s superpower?”
Tony climbed onto the very expensive sofa and stretched his arms out in front of him. “Super Tony can fly!”
