Mokuyōbi: Call Me, Call Me
Dec. 5th, 2018 11:59 pmHowdy, everyone. I’m
sherlockian_syn and this week's themes are based on songs from one of my favorite animes, Cowboy Bebop. Today's theme is Call Me, Call Me. Prompts can be anything related to calling somebody or sending a message - calling up an ex out of the blue, calling someone's name, making a long overdue call to a loved one, etc.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Stargate Atlantis, John Sheppard/Evan Lorne, Call me call me / Let me know you are there / Call me call me / I wanna know you still care (The Seatbelts)
+ BBC Sherlock, Sherlock Holmes/John Watson, I'll come back when you call me / No need to say goodbye (Regina Spektor)
+ Marvel Cinematic Universe, Bucky Barnes (+/ any), Oh can it be / The voices calling me / They get lost and out of time / I should've seen it glow / But everybody knows that a broken heart is blind (The Black Keys)
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2018 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet
To go over everything
They say that time's supposed to heal ya
But I ain't done much healing

FILL - MCU: Sam Wilson/Steve Rogers post Infinity War
Date: 2018-12-06 08:08 pm (UTC)"Hey, this is Sam Wilson speaking. If you're calling then you have good taste. Unfortunately, I'm not able to answer your call right me. Leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can."
Steve's tongue is heavy, his mouth dryer than sand paper. Even if he could croak something out, what would it be? What words could fill the infinite space that now lay between them?
Momentarily, he waits for a familiar voice to break the blanket of silence to fill the blanket of silence that now coats his world.
All he hears is a beep.

Date: 2018-12-06 04:23 pm (UTC)“Where is he?” Harry Pierce snapped.
“Out there somewhere.” Adam Carter waved his arm to indicate the tree-covered slopes of the hills in front of them. “The prospect of running free was too appealing, so he ran.”
“How are you going to get him back?” Harry said. “We can’t hang around for that creature to return of its own accord.”
“We have our ways,” Adam replied.
“Dog whistle? Transmitter in a harness?” The sarcasm was impossible to ignore.
“No,” Tariq said. He’d just arrived. He opened the boot of his car and took out a freshly cooked chicken. “This’ll work!”
