Thursday: Festive Fusions
Dec. 20th, 2018 12:01 amHi! I’m
brumeier, and this week we’re going to be filling themes inspired by the holidays. Today’s theme is FESTIVE FUSIONS, anything and everything about the act of fusing your favorite fandom with a movie, TV series, book, podcast, etc.! Prompts and fills do NOT have to be specifically holiday-oriented.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Stargate Atlantis, John Sheppard, Nightmare Before Christmas fusion
+ Hawaii Five-0, Steve McGarrett/Danny Williams, Magnum, P.I. fusion
+ Stargate Atlantis, Rodney McKay, The Santa Clause fusion
+ Marvel Cinematic Universe, Bucky Barnes +/ Any, Jason Bourne franchise fusion
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2016 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2018-12-20 04:05 pm (UTC)Fill: (delighted to have sucked you into Whitechapel!)
Date: 2018-12-20 04:30 pm (UTC)“Well, once again, Joe Chandler’s house is beautifully structured, but the precision he’s applying to the decoration may mean he fails to complete in time.”
“Yes, it’s the first time I’ve seen anyone use a set square to ensure the accuracy of the windows. I rather fancy Emerson Kent’s creation; it’s very sweet.”
“But possibly too cute for the judges, with all the little people holding hands. On the other hand, Finlay Mansell seems to have taken the fairy tale a bit too literally.”
“Yes, one gingerbread person in an oven, and a trail of bright red icing, presumably blood around the outside of the house might not be to everyone’s liking. What do you make of Edward Buchan’s version?”
“It’s rather, how would you term it, Gothic. At any minute you expect Dracula to fly out of one of the windows. Again, not universally popular. I think my money will be on Ray Miles, I like the way he’s given each of his people their own characters.”
“Yes, I think it will be either him or Megan Riley; the way she’s iced the flowers up the sides of the house may tip the balance.”
“Well, time’s now up, we shall know soon.”

Date: 2018-12-20 04:44 pm (UTC)I love this! I just started bingeing TGBBS, which I love, and this commentary is perfect! Love how each person's bake represents their personality. Gotta say I was hoping Ray Miles would be one of the top bakers. ::grins:: Thank you so much!
