Chris looked up at the sound of the door opening, soft smile on his face as he met Steve's eyes. He held his hand out and Steve quickly crossed the room to join him on the couch, wrapping the duvet around them both. He shivered, haddn't realised he was cold until the warmth of Steve's body was pressed against him.

Steve leaned in close, his head against Christian's chest and he lifted Christian's arm up then curled under it. He smiled when Christian took the hint, fingers running through his hair. "Couldn't sleep?" He asked softly, his eyes on the television, not Christian.

"Why aren't you in bed," Christian asked. ignoring Steve's question.

Stretching out along th length of the couch, Steve wriggled as he got comfy, his eyes sliding closed. "Woke up. You weren't there. Bed was empty and cold."

"Sorry." Christian dropped a kiss to the top of Steve's head, his arm tightening around him. His lips curved up into a smile as he felt Steve relaxing against him, breathing evening out as he slid into sleep once more.
