Monday: 100 Words On Weather
May. 13th, 2019 12:12 amHi! I’m
brumeier, and this week we’re going to be filling themes inspired by Spring, using 100 words or any multiple of 100. Today’s theme is WEATHER. The change of season always brings a mix of different types of weather, so don’t feel like you have to restrict yourself solely to April showers. Your prompts and fills can be anything and everything involved with weather, be it summer droughts or crisp October afternoons! (Or the freakin’ snow we had here in NY for Mother’s Day.)
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Hawaii Five-0, Steve McGarrett/Danny Williams,
Well the sky is finally open, the rain and wind stopped blowin'
But you're stuck out in the same old storm again
You hold tight to your umbrella, darlin' I'm just tryin' to tell ya
That there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head
(Kacey Musgraves)
+ Stargate Multiverse, Any team, caught in a sudden, unusual storm offworld
+ Marvel Cinematic Universe, Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes, dancing in the rain
+ Any, any/any, “And now with the weather, here’s…”
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2016 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2019-05-13 03:26 pm (UTC)The rain, which had been a steady drizzle for most of the evening, had started to grow heavier. By the time Tariq and Jo had driven off with the man, Lucas’ thick fur was sodden. Adam opened the boot of his own car, and hurriedly stepped back. He wasn’t quick enough and was caught in the shower of water as Lucas shook vigorously.
Adam groaned. “Every time. You do it to me every time.”
Ros laughed and hopped into the car before Lucas could decide to shake again.
Adam got into the driver’s seat, started the engine and turned the heating on. He drove Ros home with the strong smell of wet werewolf assailing them from the back of the car.
