Friday: 100 Words on Renewal
May. 17th, 2019 12:03 amHi! I’m
brumeier, and this week we’ve been filling themes inspired by Spring, using 100 words or any multiple of 100. Thank you so much to everyone who left a prompt and/or filled one this week. Ya’ll are great! Our final theme is RENEWAL. Spring is a time when everything starts over. You can tackle this however you want, from renewal of vows to a renewal of self to renewing a library card. Let your imagination fly!
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Marvel Cinematic Universe, Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes (/Sam Wilson),
Where I've become so numb, without a soul
My spirit's sleeping somewhere cold
Until you find it there, and lead it back home
(Evanescence)
+ Any, any m/m, couples retreat
+ Sherlock, John Watson +/ Sherlock Holmes, urban renewal
+ Stargate Multiverse, Any, When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be. (Lao Tzu)
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2016 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Fill: Forever, Henry Morgan
Date: 2019-05-17 02:19 pm (UTC)“I think you’ll find it’s a library card,” Abe replied.
“Irrelevant. Anyway, the system threw up a date of birth. And the assistant looked at the date and looked at me and said it couldn’t possibly be my card and therefore wouldn’t renew it.”
“Haven’t you had that before?”
“Yes, but the assistant has always said ‘there must be something wrong with the system’ and renewed it anyway. This time, however, they refused.”
Abe sighed. “So what do you want me to borrow for you?”
