Wednesday: Fauna
May. 29th, 2019 09:33 amHello, everyone. I’m
with_rainfall and today's theme is fauna. Prompts can be related to animals of the past, present or future — whether real, alive, dead, illustrated or mythical.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Any, any, megafauna
+ Emelan, any, “Little Bear made me do it!”
+ Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom, looking after Trevor
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2019 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2019-06-30 12:29 am (UTC)Like deck his best friend.
The irony of Steve treating him like he was made of glass and would shatter at any moment wasn't lost on him, since that was how he tried Steve pre-serum. It just got on his last nerve.
He tried to be understanding of where Steve was coming from, but he could only do it for so long.
He made his way to the pasture land across from the river where the royal goat herd grazed every afternoon.
He liked the goats because they didn't expect anything from him, but protection from predators.
He settled into a shady spot near the river and watched the goats amble along stopping every so often to graze.
He felt his anger and frustration slowly disapate leaving feeling exhausted.
He made himself comfortable thinking an afternoon nap would be just the thing to make him feel better.
Just as he was about to close his eyes, one of his favorite nanny goats walked up and layed down beside him.
He reached up with his good hand and scratched her behind the ears earning a pleased baa from her.
He closed his eyes safe in the knowledge that the goats would let him know when it was time to get up and get back to work.

Steve just needs to get over himself.
