Hi folks.
trinityday again, your guest host for this week. And today our theme is the seven deadly sins.
Lust (or extravagance). Gluttony. Greed. Sloth (or despair). Wrath. Envy. Pride (or vainglory).
For the sake of our code monkeys, please remember not to go crazy and to limit yourself to 5 prompts in a row, with only 3 of those in the same fandom. If your original prompts get answered, then feel free to leave some more later in the day.
Spoilers are not allowed in your prompts until a week (7 days) has passed from the original air date. If there are spoilers in your fic, warn people by bolding and leaving at least 3 spaces.
Also, please thank your fic provider. Not only is it the nice thing to do, but it often helps encourage them to write even more.
Please make sure you format your prompts correctly, the last being for crossovers:
Veronica Mars, Veronica/Lilly, lust for life
Dark Angel, Max/Alec, too vain and boastful for her taste
Pirates of the Caribbean/Doctor Who, Jack/Christina, envious of the other's freedom
If none of today's prompts catch your eye, check out the Lonely Prompts over at delicious.

Date: 2009-12-08 12:00 pm (UTC)"You Shall Not", Gibbs/Tony, creepy!Tim, PG
Date: 2009-12-08 12:47 pm (UTC)You shall not covet your neighbour’s house; you shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour.
Tim was not an envious person per se. In fact, it took him by surprise that he envies Tony - for anything, really, much less his relationship to Gibbs.
At first Tim didn't know the actual extend of Tony and Gibbs' relationship. He'd thought they had a good rapport at work; shared whole insights of a case with just one glance because of their experience; were good pals, united in their inability to switch off from work. Tim was certainly envious of that on occasion.
When he saw Gibbs pressing Tony into the wall in a rarely used corridor near the storage area, kissing Tony as if he might die if he stopped, the envy in Tim reared up its ugly head with a vengeance. He had to duck behind the next corner and take a few deep breaths, but the envy didn't lessen.
In fact, it increased over the next weeks. He noticed little glances and gestures between the two men that had been hidden from him before. And with every private smile from Tony and every slight twinkle in Gibbs' eyes over Tony's antics, Tim's envy grew. It made him surly and mean. It was like an out-of-body experience sometimes. He actually cringed at some of the things he said and did to Tony, even though he'd rather have done the complete opposite and cradled him to his chest, proclaiming to Gibbs that he couldn't have Tony because he was Tim's.
His mother had raised him well. He grew up with the Bible, and while he did not practice religion these days, he had always believed in the rightness of the words. But now, he wishes nothing more than to trade places with Gibbs. You shall not covet your neighbour's wife. Whoever thought he might lust after his "neighbour's husband" instead?
Tim was not an envious person per se. But deep down, Tim had to admit that Tony's relationship to Gibbs made him envious like hell. For now, he had it under control. But sometimes… he was scared as hell of what he might do if the envy in him won out in the end.

1. Haughty eyes:
They stripped him of is worth, his power, and his dignity. They do not call him brother any longer, yet still he finds that, though in doubt with much of Creation, he knows he is doing the right thing. They are wrong.
2. A lying tongue:
Dean has been teaching Castiel to lie. The concept flutters out of his grasp much of the time. Truth is always the proper and correct way to gather information. It makes everything simple. But he’s understood for some time now that Creation is powered on lies, and the first time he lies without a slight thought about the false words is one more step down the rungs.
3. Hands that shed innocent blood:
He once was capable of banishing demons from their hosts. What was once blinding light seeping from his hand is now crimson seeping onto his.
4. A heart that devises wicked plots:
Pity. He figured out the emotion long ago, the one he feels at the sight of his brother Zachariah. Now, within the last year, his pity has burned away to wrath. Castiel is a patient being.
5. Feet that are swift to run into mischief:
Dean, when running headfirst into trouble, does not ask for help. Castiel has learned to see the signs of impending idiocy and follows course to keep the man alive. The angel doesn’t think before his acts anymore.
6. A deceitful witness that uttereth lies:
They capture him in a ring of fire, persuading him in various ways to tell Them where the Winchesters are. He calmly spits his vessels blood from the mouth and tells Them that if they could kindly Go To Hell that They may find the brothers down there.
7. Him that soweth discord among brethren:
It’s after the hundredth sibling of his that felt the edge of his blade he stops feeling sorrow for what he has done.

Date: 2009-12-08 09:45 pm (UTC)The waitress, Tami, sits down the whole chocolate pie on the table. Claire goes wide eyed and Tami winks at Dean. "No ones ordered any all night, and it'll just go to waste," she explains, with a smile.
Dean's pretty sure she's lying, just like he's sure that's her phone number of the napkin she put down with pie. Sam and Claire are already hovering over the pie with their forks.
"Should we cut it?" Claire asks. She keeps glancing at Cas. The angel has that little disapproving frown on as he looks at Dean, and hell no, if Cas doesn't want his kid - ward - whatever digging into a whole pie while he needs to speak up himself.
"Nah, why bother?" Dean grins. He digs his fork into the pie and takes a large bite. It's good, not as good as apple pie but he's still trying to bring Claire around to his way of thinking on that. He'd forgotten how damn stubborn nine year old's could be.
They all dig in and quickly devouring the pie. Cas eats a few bites after coaxing from both Dean and Claire. He coincides that the pie is enjoyable, then confesses almost guiltily that he liked the apple pie better.
Claire gives him a look of traitor before being distracted by fighting Sam for the last bite.
They don't leave right away, talkign shop about the next job in a nearby town (and it own the way to Ellen's, because the roads no place for a kid but they can't just ignore jobs they come across)-- a group of divorced parents disappeared with their children on a camping trip only for the children to reappear alone a few days later with no memory of the trip.
Claire half asleep by the time they leave, and falls asleep on her cot almost as soon as they get back to the motel room.
Sam goes out to get a book from the Impala, leaving Dean alone with Castiel. And it's the first time they've been alone so Dean kissed him and Castiel acted like Dean's burned him. Or had a forked tongue.
"Gluttony is a sin," Castiel says, sitting down on the edge of one of the beds. He's watching Claire with his human eyes, but Dean shivers knowing he's been watched closely. "I do not understand why humans engage in it. There was no need to partake in the entire pie."
Dean doesn't sit down next to him, though he'd like too. "That wasn't gluttony," Dean tells him. "That was...making up for all the times there wasn't any pie."
Castiel turns his head towards Dean, and tilts his head to the side. "I do not understand."
Dean frowns and tries to think of another way to explain it. Because he hears the accusation in Castiel words, how Dean's exposing Claire to sin.
He pulls an extra blanket off his bed and settles it over Claire. "Sometimes there are so few good things in life, Cas. And Claire's going to remember tonight as a good thing. She's going to remember the pie, not the ice and the blood."
"I wish for her to have good things," Cas whispers.
Dean nods. "Yeah, I know you do, buddy."

Date: 2011-02-22 05:50 am (UTC)But Castiel, even unable to move and human as he is, glares back.
"I don't want your help." He spits.
"Temper, temper," Lucifer chides, wrapping Castiel in cold as he dampens pain and heals the numerous cuts and bruises and breaks in Castiel's freshly human form.
"You've given too much for them," Lucifer says once done. "And next time I may not be feeling generous enough to help."
"I never wanted it," Castiel says, even as he staggers to his feet. "Leave me."
Lucifer looks at him for a long moment, then vanishes.
It doesn't make Castiel feel any better.

Date: 2009-12-08 01:37 pm (UTC)---------
They have this... thing. He didn't take too much notice of it when he was growing up, but here - now, as an outsider - it's hard not to see it. That force that holds them together; strong and dependable. Unbreakable. Scores of demons and evil powers have tried their luck, but none have succeeded in shattering the Power of Three.
And he doesn't get it. He reasons it out in his mind that it's because they're women and he's never understood women so he'll never understand this. But even as he thinks it he knows its not true.
It's not a gender issue.
It's a family one. A bond between blood. The type he's never had.
He tells himself he's not jealous of their bond and swallows the taste of bitter acid on his tongue.

Date: 2009-12-16 07:07 am (UTC)That is the problem. It is not another woman he wants.
It is Neal.
Artfully messy hair, bright blue eyes and a smile that Peter really needs to stop getting lost in. He entranced Peter as a criminal and now as a colleague, a friend, he cannot get him out of his thoughts.
He feels unfaithful, unable to think only of the woman he loves. It eats him up, the guilt and he finds it harder and harder each day not to touch Neal.
What he does not know is that Elizabeth feel the same guilt. And NEal the same lust.
He does not know. Yet.
