Hello again everyone! If you happen to live in the USA, then Happy Independence Day! I’m
sherlockian_syn and today's theme is Video Games. Prompts can be for video game fandoms, people in other fandoms playing video games, or video game fusions. As long as it has to do with video games in some way, go for it!
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Stargate Atlantis, John Sheppard/Rodney McKay, beating each other's high score in Tetris
+ Sherlock, Sherlock Holmes/John Watson, Sherlock teases John for playing a mindless mobile game and then gets addicted himself
+ Any Persona game, Protagonist/Any, going to the arcade
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2019 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2019-07-04 01:29 pm (UTC)“Why don’t you just admit it, Ros,” Adam said. “You lost to a better player.”
“And you had an unfair advantage. How was I supposed to know those creatures were dangerous aliens?”
“Clearly my reactions are better than yours.”
Lucas looked across at the bickering pair. “You should try playing against Malcolm. I swear he’s edited the programme so that his shots are always completely accurate and mine have a second’s time delay.”
The three looked at Malcolm, who simply shrugged his shoulders.

Date: 2019-07-04 07:46 pm (UTC)“I wrote a blog post this morning, as you well know, since you criticised the grammar, the spelling and the accuracy of it,” John replied. “Damn! I almost had it this time, but you distracted me.”
A couple of days later:
“Sherlock! What are you doing?” John asked. “That’s my phone.” He peered at the screen. “And that’s my game. Give it back to me now.”
“One moment. I’m almost at the next level.”
