Tuesday - Time Travel

Happy Tuesday. Today we're going to mess with wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey things - more precisely, time travel! Are you going back to the future? Falling through a hole in the space-time continuum? Or maybe just going to a historical reenactment?

Whichever it is, just remember the community rules: five prompts at a time; you're welcome to post more when those are answered (please be kind to the code monkeys and don't go too crazy), no spoilers in your prompts til a week after release, warn in bold and leave space if there's a spoiler in your fic itself, and please use this format for your prompts (the last is for crossovers):

The Last Man 2/2 (John/Rodney)

John and Rodney stared at each other and John leaned in, about to kiss Rodney and fell through Rodney, forgetting that he was a hologram.

John stood up, rubbing the back of his head, blushing. “I-I just…”

Rodney put a hand up. “I know.”

“When you go back, John, don’t let that stupid Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy stop you. Tell me – well, the other Rodney - how you feel…and don’t let him give you excuses, understand?” Rodney stared at John, wagging a finger. John gulped and nodded.

“Good, good…” Rodney grinned. “Let’s get you into the chamber.”

John stepped into the chamber and it was activated.

John stepped through the Stargate once again, and put his hands up immediately, as some Marines surrounded him with their P-90 pointed at him.

“Whoa…”

John looked around and realized that he was right back to where he was supposed to be. He saw Rodney among the crowd and gave a sigh of relief.

“It worked. You’re a genius, Rodney!”

Sam and the rest of the team looked at him in confusion.

After John planned a rescue mission to find Teyla with Sam and explaining what had happened, he went to Rodney’s quarters. Remembering the Hologram Rodney’s words, he wasn’t going to waste any more time. He cleared his throat and was about to hover over the button, when the doors opened.

“John?” Rodney was surprised to find John standing there. He expected him to get geared up and ready to go off world.

John glanced at Rodney and pushed him into the quarters, the doors closing behind him. He pulled Rodney in and kissed him furiously.

Rodney struggled to push him away, but John was strong and held him tightly as he continued to kiss Rodney, and eventually, Rodney gave in and kissed him back.

When they pulled apart, breathlessly, Rodney stared at John in shock. “What was that?”

“I’m not letting you go,” John simply said. Rodney blinked and looked at John, searching for something to help him understand. Slowly he began to realize that the future Rodney told John about his feelings for John.

His eyes widened and he gasped at John, who was grinning. Rodney pulled John in and kissed him hard and then let go.

“Thank you.”

Aw, I love this so much! It makes sense that Rodney would tell John to do that - I love plausible first times that I haven't read about a thousand times before :) Thank you!

Phew! I'm so pleased that you enjoyed this as much as I did writing it!

Yeah, I think that the future Rodney would tell John after all he has gone through to end up being alone and nobody to share with. The present Rodney probably won't make any moves so it was up to the future Rodney! lol :D
