Hi! I’m
brumeier, and this week we’re going to be filling some of my favorite prompt themes, using 100 words or any multiple of 100. Today’s theme is Titles. Your prompts and fills can be any kind of title – movie, song, TV ep, poem, book, or the other kinds of titles like king, duke, and Iron Chef. ::grins::
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Stargate Atlantis, David Parrish +/ Any, The Last Mrs. Parrish, by Liv Constantine
+ MI5|Spooks, Adam Carter +/ Any, Adam’s Not Sorry (Man With a Plan)
+ Marvel Cinematic Universe, Bucky Barnes +/ Any, I Don’t Know How to Love Him (Sinead O’Connor)
+ Trixie Belden Mysteries, Trixie Belden, being crowned Apple Princess at the harvest festival
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2016 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Fill 500: Bucky/Steve + Sam and ensemble (fluff and minor angst)
Date: 2021-02-22 04:07 pm (UTC)Sam patted his shoulder. “Is it worse for dating couples or singles? Who knows.”
“He’s Captain America. His ass is America’s ass. What the hell am I doing here?” Bucky asked.
Sam turned to him. “Hey. His ass was your ass long before it was America’s ass. He loves you. You can do no wrong.”
“It’s been so long. We’re different people now. Does he even like chocolate?”
“Probably not teddy bears,” Sam admitted.
Bucky said, so softly he probably didn’t even realize he was speaking aloud, “I don’t know how to love him.”
Sam considered. “What was something you always wanted to do for him but couldn’t, before?”
“Marry him,” Bucky admitted.
Sam grinned. “I know where you can get a big old rock. C’mon. There are always sales this time of year.”
“He’s probably not a diamond kind of guy.” But Bucky followed Sam out of the supermarket and down the street.
“Some kind of plain metal band, then,” Sam said. “Vibranium? Like his shield? And we know a guy who can get us some vibranium.”
Bucky considered. “A metal ring might be a bad idea, in case of an emergency.”
Sam veered away from the jewelry store he’d been heading toward. “I saw a thing online. Sports rings. They’re made of silicone and flexible and safe for really active people. All you have to do is choose colors. They can be engraved with messages and stuff.”
“Ex-fil, now!” Clint fired another arrow, and he fell back.
But Bucky turned and dashed into the burning building.
“Bucky! Come back!” Steve shouted.
“What the hell is he doing?” Tony shouted.
Steve started after him, but Sam grabbed him. “We gotta go!”
There was a flurry of chatter over the radio as the rest of the team made their ex-fil from the building.
By the time they all made it back to the quinjet, only Bucky was missing.
“What do we do?” Bruce asked.
“I’m going back for him,” Steve said.
Stephen cast him a look. “He’s strong and smart. Give him a moment.”
As if on cue, Bucky emerged from the building, a stark silhouette backlit with flame.
Steve ran to him, hugged him fiercely. “Hey, what were you thinking? Why would you do that?”
Bucky was breathing hard behind his mask, had something clasped in his left fist. When he uncurled his hand, Sam saw the little box.
The ring box.
“I dropped this,” Bucky admitted. “Couldn’t lose it.”
Steve pulled back. “What…?”
Bucky pressed the box into Steve’s hand. “Happy Valentine’s Day, even though that’s tomorrow. Marry me?”
Steve accepted the box with shaking hands, flipped it open. Inside were two rings, one red, one blue.
“Till the end of the line,” Steve read. Then he gazed into Bucky’s eyes and said, “Yes. Yes I’ll marry you.”
Wanda cheered.
T’Challa said, “Congratulations! Now let’s go, before the rest of this place burns down.”
