Today's theme is one of my favorites - performer AUs: make your characters musicians, actors, movie stars, ballet dancers, DJs, pop stars, a rock band, reality show contestants, TV news people.

Rules:
No more than three prompts to a single fandom

No spoilers in the prompts and if your fill has spoilers, please warn and and leave at least three spaces

They're the stars of the circus. Well, to an extent. No one would deny that The Flying Grayson was the main draw, but Hawkeye The World's Greatest Marksman was a very close second. Trowa would have been right up there with them too, if the audience was aware that the clown who could balance on anything was also catching Grayson and getting shot at by Hawkeye and sticking his head in the mouths of lions during his free time just because he could.

One would expect that they wouldn't get along, competing for the spotlight and all, but the truth was that they were close. Clint claimed it was too much work to hate Dick, he'd just follow you around trying to make you laugh until you gave in, and Dick had always wanted brothers so he'd adopted Clint pretty much the second Clint showed up. Trowa had come along later and didn't much get anyone's attention until he'd appeared one day while Barney was smacking Clint around and proceeded to beat the hell out of Barney with a truly terrifying amount of skill and absolutely no remorse. Clint hadn't been happy about it, 'cause it wasn't any of the new kid's business, but Dick had adopted Trowa too and Clint put up with him long enough to see that under the emotionless mask Trowa put up, there was a kid who had seen a lot of bad stuff, just like him. Trowa didn't talk much, and no one knew where he came from, but he worked hard and didn't flinch when Clint shot at him or the tigers took swipes at him through the bars so they just gave him a bunch of work to do and let him stay. (Trowa wasn't afraid of anything, and Clint knew that kind of fearlessness intimately. It was the kind that came when you didn't care if you survived or not. He'd stopped feeling that way thanks to Dick, and figured he should pass the favor on, in the interests of karma or something.)

Anyway, they became a weird little unit where Dick talked too much and Trowa didn't talk enough, and Clint talked about everything, but only if it didn't matter and by the time they were in their twenties the center ring was home to a truly one of a kind show. Dick and Trowa flipped through the air after one another, swinging off of ropes that Clint had shot into place seconds before they were needed, dashing from one aerial platform to the next and doing his own fair share of death defying acrobatics. It was insane and dangerous and never would have worked if they didn't trust one another so much. But Dick loved his 'little brothers' unconditionally and he and Trowa had never let Clint down, and no one asked Trowa who he really was or what he was running from, and that turned out to be enough.

"Now, remember," Harvey said as his eyes bored into Mike, "You can't tell anyone about our alliance."

"Okay. But when you say 'anyone'-"

"I mean anyone."

"What about--"

"No."

"But I was going to say--"

"Definitely no."

Mike sighed dramatically and gave Harvey puppy dog eyes. For a moment, Harvey couldn't decide if the eyes a pathetic strategy or a brilliant one.

Harvey continued, "Do you want to play nice or do you want to win?"

Mike answered, "I want to, umm... win nice?"

Harvey rolled his eyes. "Just trust me, okay. You and me, final two. But you have got to stick to the plan."

Mike nodded. "But why do you want me in the final with you? I know you don't think I'm easier to beat than these other guys."

Harvey stopped himself from smacking the kid upside the kid. He was just so naive sometimes.

"Mike. Do you think the final two will be the two who do best in competitions or the two who have the dynamic the network thinks will get viewers into it?"

"Ummm..."

"It's reality television. Not reality. Please tell me you understand it's fixed."

"That can't be," Mike objected before Harvey's raised brow reminded him of everything he's seen since coming to this stupid island. "Fine," he sighed.

Harvey grinned. "Be thrilled, Mike, at my brilliance if for nothing else. This is both our tickets. Who could resist watching incredibly smart, good looking lovers go up against each other in the final?"

Mike gave him a smile, much less innocent than before. "Well, if we're going for the 'lovers' angle, we'd better really sell it."

Harvey smiled and went in for a kiss, savoring the hint of aggression in Mike's lips. "See, I knew I picked the right alliance," Harvey said, "Just goes to show - you should always trust my-"

"Shut up and take your shirt off before the camera operators find us," Mike said.

Harvey smirked. It wouldn't do for Mike to think he could five Harvey orders. But, as he took of his own shirt and practically ripped off Mike's, Harvey thought that that might be one lesson that could wait.
