Wednesday - Crossovers
Jun. 18th, 2014 08:50 amHappy Wednesday everyone, I am your guest host this week caz251. Today's theme is crossovers. Those story prompts that refuse to stay within one fandom, spawning fics that cross more than one different fandom universe.
The rules still haven't changed:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
No spoilers in prompts.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space.
Prompts should be formatted as follows:
Fandom, Character+/Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Harry Potter/Torchwood, Draco/Harry + Ianto, "You not only have to deal with muggles but aliens as well, why didn't you take that Ministry job?"
+ CSI/NCIS, Greg + Abby, Lab rats who know how to party.
+ Harry Potter/Ouran High School Host Club, Harry/Takashi, cherry blossom.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Visit the lonely prompt archive and brighten someone’s day. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.

They meet when TJ's mom - the President, which even being Captain America is pretty strange for Steve to think about - invites him to the White House for some special event or other, and Steve feels TJ's eyes on him the whole time he's talking to President Barrish, staring him down. Steve spends the night trying to be pleasant and friendly to everyone, but he still sort of hates these events, still feels a bit like some sort of show monkey any time he goes to one.
"Shouldn't you be saving the world or something?" TJ asks him, when he tracks him down to one of the tables.
"It's my night off," Steve says. TJ sits down next to him, sets his water glass next to Steve's. Steve has had some time to read up about the Hammonds. He knows TJ has had some trouble in the past with drugs and alcohol, that he's had a pretty rough time of things.
He seems okay now, though. They talk for a while, and unlike most of the people here, he doesn't treat Steve like he's the greatest thing alive, or whatever. Steve figures it's because he's used to people fawning all over him, too. They must, with the way he looks.
"So," TJ says. "If tonight's your night off, what about tomorrow?"
"You asking me out?" Steve asks. He's kind of gotten used to people hitting on him, but for once his immediate instinct isn't to say no. TJ's funny, and sharp, and definitely good-looking, and Steve feels like he wouldn't mind learning more about him.
"Does Captain America date?" TJ asks. "I've always kind of wondered."
"Have you?" Steve asks. TJ has moved in pretty close to him, so he can see the blue of his eyes, the way they light up a little when he smiles.
"I mean, I don't know if you know this, but you're sort of a celebrity. People do talk about you."
"People talk about you, too," Steve says. TJ frowns, looks away, and Steve feels like an idiot. "Hey," he says. "I didn't mean - you really don't seem like what the papers say about you."
TJ looks back at him, shakes his head. "I sort of am. But I'm trying not to be."
"Sometimes that's the best you can do," Steve says, and TJ smiles at him again, something almost shy. "So how about it?" TJ asks. "The President of the United State's fuck-up kid and the nation's great hero? I think if you're around, we can probably even ditch the Secret Service."
Steve laughs, and somehow, saying yes doesn't seem like the worst idea in the world.

"So, let me get this straight," Natasha says over the phone, a few weeks and quite a few dates later. Steve hasn't seen her in months, but after the morning's headlines, he wasn't entirely surprised to hear from her. "I try to set you up with nice girls from the office -"
"Who might have been HYDRA spies," Steve points out.
"Right, sure, there's always that risk."
"Right," Steve agrees.
"And you make excuses like 'Oh, I'm too busy,' or 'Oh, I don't want them to have to deal with that lifestyle,"' she says.
"I assume you're working toward some kind of point here."
"I am," she says. "Captain America dating the President of the United State's kid. Steve, the next time you want to date someone more high-profile, hint a little harder. I know a lot of celebrities that owe me a few favors."
"Wow," Steve says. "I'm hanging up now."
"But he's treating you right, right?" Natasha asks, and Steve has to smile, because he can hear genuine concern in her voice, hidden beneath the usual layers of sarcasm.
"Yeah," Steve says. "He is."
"Good," Natasha says. "Because I think assassinating the president's kid would be a challenge even for me."
"Yep, I'm definitely hanging up now before we both get arrested. 'Bye, Natasha."
He hangs up, but five minutes later there's a text: Do you think he wants to be your sidekick? Or is this more of a Lois Lane situation?
I don't know what that means, Steve lies.

Thank you so much :D
