And here on Friday, the final theme is reincarnation. Your favorite character lived before or will live again, maybe they’ve started remembering their past life…

As ever, the rules are:

*No more than five prompts in a row.
*No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
*No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing. Use a spoiler cut as needed.

If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space.

Have fun!

If LJ was going to give us back comment subjects they really could have let them be longer than 55 characters but I digress.

may its index point to joy (Leverage, team gen with Nate/Sophie)

Parker is floating upside down.

It's the first thing Nate notices when he comes into the room. He's got a strong grip on the wall handle, himself, trying to keep up and down straight, knowing that in space those designations mean little. He's having a hard time adjusting. Parker, on the other hand, looks like she was born here.

She waves at him and drifts sideways a little. Hardison reaches out and grabs her ankle, his other hand firmly clutching another handle. How Eliot isn't drifting at all is beyond Nate as well. It would be more impressive if he weren't standing at a slight angle.

Sophie glides toward him effortlessly and he puts an arm around her. She steadies him, like always. Nate clears his throat.

"It's been quite a while," he says. "When Sophie and I said we were going to get married and retire, we meant it."

"I remember," Parker says. Some of her ponytail has drifted into her mouth and she spits it out. ""It was a really good wedding. Super short and Eliot made an amazing cake."

"Buttercream," Eliot agrees. He has bobby pins pinning his hair out of his face. Nate wonders if he really thought this far ahead, or he asked Sophie for them.

"Quit stalling, Nate. We haven't seen you and Sophie for so long we'd figured you were dead for good, and then you call a meeting on the moon? Dude, I don't have to leave the apartment for weeks sometimes, everybody delivers now," Hardison says. He does look a bit green. He glances down at Parker. "Parker, baby, you want to get on the same level as the rest of us?"

"You should come over here," she says, wrinkling her nose. "I can see up your nostrils, it's gross."

"Damn right it's gross!" he says, shaking her ankle and making her laugh. Nate clears his throat again and the group subsides. For a moment, they are back in the before, three hundred years ago before anyone knew how to wake up memories of their past lives and continue living them. It's as if nothing has changed, even though all of their bodies have. Nate feels a nostalgia that's almost painful.

"We have a job for you guys," he says, and he shuts his eyes. He can see his old Portland apartment in his mind, feet firm on the floor; he's not a nineteen-year-old red-headed kid who grew up in the Titan colony. He's Nathan Ford, former drunk, former insurance agent, always a man who fights for justice, no matter whose face he's wearing. (Dealing with reincarnation and old memories is easier for some people, even the ones who don't clone new bodies for themselves. Personally Nate has always liked the challenge of waking up as someone totally new.)

"Must be something big," Eliot says. He's female this time around and Nate has made a mental note to ask for his pronouns when they get a free moment. He's still as tight-lipped as always.

"Huge," Sophie says. "We've only been looking at the fringes of the problem so far and it goes all the way to the top of the Moon government. We knew we needed some expert help."

"You were working a job without us?" Parker asks, and she sounds so offended that Nate laughs. Then they're all laughing, the tension broken, and Hardison is pulling portable screens from the pockets of his baggy jeans and throwing them up on the walls and ceilings.

"Not anymore," Nate says, and Parker gives him a big upside-down smile.
