Merry morningmas! I’m
doreyg and today's theme is green (have you noticed that I'm going for a bit of a theme this week?). Prompts can be anything relating to the colour green: be it green as grass, green with envy or even a character actually being green. As long as there's green somewhere in your prompt, you'll be good!
Rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
If your prompt or fill contains anything that can be a trigger for the reader, please add a warning for that to give the reader the chance to decide if they want to read or not. This basically follows the AO3 warning system (graphic violence, character death non-con, underage), with any extra warnings left to the discretion of the author.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing. Use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Time for some examples!:
+ Justice League Cartoon, Martian Manhunter +/ Any, it's not easy being green
+ The Flash (TV), Barry Allen +/ Any, in the green grass
+ MCU, Loki +/ Tony Stark, green with envy
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2015 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community. Another option is the new LJ archive of prompts that we've been working on, which can be found here.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2015-05-27 12:14 pm (UTC)Fill 1/2 Gen, but for one swear word, not sure it's what you had in mind, but...
Date: 2015-05-27 01:27 pm (UTC)As it happened, the nearest place with room to hide was in the playground, which looked deserted. She climbed the ladder and crossed the chain-and-log bridge that led to the fort/playhouse and ducked inside, keeping an eye out behind her in case she needed to flee her hiding place. So intent was she on watching her rear for attack that she tripped on a little girl who was curled up on the floor sniffling.
"Oof! Oh, I'm sorry, honey, are you okay?" Darcy aksed warily, unsure if the girl's tears were from getting walked on by a grown-up (not that she *was* a grown-up, but she was adult sized) or if she had already been crying and Darcy hadn't noticed. The little girl shook her head.
"Is your Mom in the Park?"
Again the girl shook her head.
"Why are you alone?" Darcy supposed a direct question might get a verbal answer.
"Danny and Billy ran away with everybody else. They f-f-forgot me!"
"Are Danny and Billy your brothers?"
"Danny is. Billy's his friend. I didn't know what the noise was and I was having a good game of House in here. Then it went real quiet and I looked out and nobody was left except m-m-me!" The girl finished on a fresh burst of tears.
So the whole Park got evacuated, and we're on our own until Steve and Tasha get Hulk calmed down. I can handle that. Tasha just needs to give him a Lullabye, it'll just take a while for them to find him, Darcy's thoughts raced.
"It's okay, honey. My name is Darcy. Um. I'm not so great around kids, but you're going to be my new friend, 'kay?" Darcy patted the girl awkwardly on the shoulder.
"'kay," the girl said in a tiny voice.
Darcy dug around in her purse and found some candy she had been saving for the subway ride.
"You want some candy, honey?"
A grubby hand was held out instantly. "Yes please."
"Here you go. Do you know why everyone was evacu- why everyone left?"
"Nuh-uh."
"A friend of mine has a little problem that can turn into a big problem, but my other friends are working on fixing it right now. We'll be out of here in no time."
In the distance, Darcy heard trees swishing in the wind. Thats funny, it's usually really sheltered in the Park, you can't really feel the wi- uh-oh.
"Hon, you'd know this playground better than I do. Are there any play tunnels, or other forts that are low down?"
"Nuh-uh."
Outside, a massive rock, big enough that people often picnicked on it, hit the see-saw, demolishing it.
"SHIT! Uh, honey, you didn't hear that word from me. I'm going outside for a sec, okay? MY boyfriend'll kill me if he thinks I cursed in front of a child."
The little girl nodded, but looked ready to cry again, so Darcy handed her her Starkphone with Angry Birds on it. Darcy looked around the fort for alternative exits to the bridge she had crossed, and saw a fireman's pole in the opposite corner. I gotta bring Steve here after dark and show him my pole-fitness skills, sometime, she thought as she grabbed it and slid down.
She just made it to the gravel when the tree-line parted and Hulk appeared, looking for more things to uproot and smash. Darcy sent a quick prayer up to any gods that might be listening and ran towards him.
"BRUCE! Bruce there's a little kid here! Bruce, you gotta calm down! Seriously, it's me! I wouldn't lie to you, you're going to hurt a little girl - and me - and you'll hate yourself!" Darcy shouted, repeating it like a mantra at the top of her voice.
THe Hulk heard her, and stopped, head whipping around to see where the noise was coming from. Darcy quailed inside, and shouted again. "It's me! Steve's girlfriend! Calm down, man, this destruction of a kids' playground is not cool!"
Re: Fill 2/2
Date: 2015-05-27 01:27 pm (UTC)"Darcy? Natasha? Why am I in the Park?" Bruce asked.
"I think the Other Guy took exception to the landcaping," Darcy joked, shrugging out of her jacket. "You might want to tie this around your...self," she added, "so you don't give little girls an eyeful."
Bruce took the jacket with alacrity. "Little girls? I though Tony made sure the Park was evacuated?"
"I wasn't evac'd," Darcy pointed out, "and someone whose guardians panicked got left behind."
Light crunching on the gravel behind them alerted them to the little girl crossing the playground. She hugged Darcy tightly around the waist and waved shyly at Bruce.
"Hi," she said, in a voice barely above a whisper. "Darcy's my new friend. Will you be my friend, too?"
Bruce and Natasha exchanged a speaking glance. Bruce crouched down slightly, and held out his hand to the girl.
"Aren't you afraid of me? Or the Other Guy?"
"Darcy said you're her friend. I'm Darcy's friend, too. And if Darcy's not scared of the Green Man, I'm not, either."
