evil_little_dog and here's hoping the rest of the week will be great. Today's theme is Like A John Hughes Movie. Each prompt should deal with that wonderful (*cough cough cough*) time of HIGH SCHOOL.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
If your prompt or fill contains anything that can be a trigger for the reader, please add a warning for that to give the reader the chance to decide if they want to read or not.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing. Use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

"Yeah, I've heard all the stories," the boy says. "Hard ass. Homework every single night. Borderline psychotic."
"Don't forget verbally and mentally abusive," Thaal adds casually as he turns around, writes his name on the whiteboard as the rest of the students pour into class.
"Yep, those too," the boy says. "I just wanted to say, do your worst Mr. Sinestro, 'cause I'm not going anywhere."
"Pity," Thaal says to the boy's wide, too bright grin. "Take your seat, Jordan. It's time for class."

"You shouldn't be here," Thaal says when the boy slips into his classroom one afternoon. The tips of his hair are wet and his face is red and Thaal assumes he must have just finished with football practice. He seems the sort.
"Yeah well," Jordan says, hopping up on the edge of his desk. "You probably shouldn't be staring at my ass all the time. Whatcha gonna do?"
"Jordan," Thaal says, pushing away from his desk. "I will say this once and only once, do you understand?"
Hal nods.
"You are insufferable, intolerable, and I have never quite wanted to inflict violence upon a student as often as I have with you."
Hal's blindingly smug grin falters a little.
"You are also beautiful and quite brilliant and I am not a good man. You should leave."
"I told you," Hal says, licking his lips. "You don't scare me."
"That," Thaal says, cupping Hal's face, "is very dangerous."
"Do your worst, Mr. Sinestro," Hal grins, so Thaal does.

Date: 2015-10-08 01:16 pm (UTC)Seriously, this is amazing. I let out the loudest noise when I saw that you were writing these two, and that noise only increased when I actually read it. This is so good! So very good! So amazingly, flailingly good!
"I just want you to know," the boy says when he walks into his classroom on the first day, all the bravado and cocksure swagger of a high school senior, leaning onto his desk with his hands planted on Sinestro's grade book, "you don't scare me."
HAL YOU COCKY DICK. I just love how you write him, especially when he's being like that, because it really reminds me why I love him. He's just so overconfident that you HAVE to be on his side, just a little.

AND I LOVE HOW YOU WRITE SINESTRO TOO. Because, yeah, he's also a dick. And yet I still love him for all his jerkishness. He's a horrible person, and yet he usually does it in such a way that you can't help but feel charmed.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal *HEART EYES*. I mean, I really do just love how you write him. He's so stubborn and cocky and AMAZINGLY in character.

GDI HAL. <33333 Ugh, this is why I love them together (for much the same reason as I love Hal/Bruce, actually). They just urge each other on SO MUCH. And, yeah, of course Sinestro would look. Sinestro ALWAYS looks.

So Hugo waited, and waited, and waited, until he could finally gather enough courage to speak to Annie. It wasn't that she was intimidating, exactly, so much as he was afraid that she would find it insulting to be asked why she was so strange. He finally got his chance (a little before the building fell, he remembered later) when he spotted her walking to... wherever it was she lived.
"Hey! Annie!" he called out to her.
She turned, and for a moment Hugo regretted trying to talk with her. "Hello. Do I know who you are?"
"Probably not," he said. "We're in the same year, but I'm from Thornhill."
"Oh? Then how do you know my name?" asked Annie, who was staring at Hugo rather uncomfortably.
"Oh, I see you when you go out to..." Here Hugo checked himself. Was he supposed to know about her comings and goings to the forest? He knew she held some kind of title there, but he wasn't sure if that was supposed to be common knowledge. "Um, the park," he added hastily.
Annie smiled, ever so slightly. "I'm afraid I don't know what you mean."
"Oh, um..." It was then that Hugo noticed something was different about Annie. He couldn't put his finger on why, but she felt... less strange, more muted, more silent. "Did you get a haircut?" he asked, changing the subject.
"Yes," Annie said curtly. "Do you have another question for me, or may I go?"
"Uh, not really," Hugo lied. "Just wanted to say 'hi'."
"Thank you. Don't waste any more of my time." With that, she left, and Hugo was still confused, still wondering.

"Yes," Sinestro says, his hand playing right above the waist of Hal's jeans. "Except I believe my exact words were you will regret it."
"Hnngh," Hal says when he feels Sinestro's teeth on his neck, rolls his hips back against him again and this time Sinestro really digs his teeth in and the pain is bright and deep and it makes Hal rut against the desk when he thinks about the mark that's going to leave. "Yeah, really regretting this."
"You will," Sinestro tells him as he finally, finally pops open the button on Hal's jeans, nipping at his ear. "I'm going to fuck you so hard you won't be able to sit, Jordan."
He gets Hal's jeans down, grabs his hips and ruts against him. "I'm going to take distinct pleasure in watching you squirm in my classroom tomorrow, unable to think about anything except how I bent you over my desk and took you like the little cockslut you are."
"Jesus," Hal groans. "Are you going to fuck me or are you gonna monologue me to death?"
Sinestro snorts. "Oh," he says. "Indeed."

The next day Sinestro hands out a pop quiz as soon as the students walk in the door, leans back in his chair and watches Jordan squirm and flush, looking up at the front of the class every five minutes to glare at him before going back to his test.
Sinestro collects the quizzes at the end of class and smirks when he sees Jordan's, one or two problems filled out messily, then a giant FUCK YOU written across the rest.
Perhaps Jordan has learned his lesson.
Sinestro isn't counting on it.

"Yes, Jordan, swear in front of the minor," Father mutters in disapproving tones, and then sighs as if Jordan has made one of his more annoying faces, "I was a little distracted at the time, as you may recall. I can hardly be expected to remember when you were doing... That."
He scowls, at both the minor comment and the disgusting thought of whatever 'that' was, but only looks back up when father gives an obliging cough. A curtain has been ripped from one of the windows, and they're both swaddled in it - it looks, not to put too fine a point on it, ridiculous, "I won't be in here long, I just need my laptop and then I'll leave you to defile the desk."
"Defile the-" Jordan starts in a tone that suggests he's about to start yelling about dictionaries yet again, and then stops. The false smile forced across his face is truly something joyous to behold, "I mean, uh, that's fine. Take as much time as you need... Sport."
"Do not call me that," he snaps, as father hides a snort into his curtain. The laptop, thankfully, is far from the desk - he pulls it carefully off one of the loungers, and tucks it carefully under his arm, "by the way, the problems that you set yesterday-"
"Damian-" father starts warningly, as Jordan blithely opens his mouth.
"-Took me less than a minute to solve. You really must stop exposing your idiocy in such a public way," he finishes ruthlessly, because they deserve at least that after such mental scarring, and ambles for the door, "I'll get out now. Try to keep from staining too many pieces of priceless furniture."
"You little-!"
"We'll keep that in mind," father says firmly, and practically shoves him out of the door before Jordan can do anything more than glare, "goodbye."
"Your son is a brat," he hears Jordan complain, ever so hotly, as he strolls smirking into the hall.
"Odd," father huffs, just before he slams the door shut, "I would've thought that you two would get along wonderfully."
