Happy Thor's Day, my doves! It is I,
classics_lover, continuing hosting duties this week. Since yesterday was Fluff, today we go in for the kill with Hurt/Comfort. Prompts must involve our favourite characters getting hurt and comforted after. Enjoy!
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Dragon Age, author's choice, aches and pains that healing magic doesn't work on
+ Star Trek TNG/DS9/VOY, anypair, taking it easy together after getting out of sickbay
+ Mass Effect, Shepard/Kaidan Alenko, biotic migraines
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2017 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2017-08-10 10:11 am (UTC)FILL: Deanna/K'Ehleyr, Bedrest
Date: 2017-08-10 02:43 pm (UTC)"Beverly said that you need to take it easy for a few days," Deanna said as she helped K'Ehleyr into bed. As she stood back up, the klingon reached out and grabbed Deanna's arm, pulling her onto the bed. Deanna laughed as the woman snuggled up to her. "This is not taking it easy."
"Sure it is," K'Ehleyr replied. "We're relaxing in bed together. That's taking it easy."
"I know your definition of relaxation, especially when I am involved, and Beverly said-"
K'Ehleyr silenced Deanna with a kiss. "Don't worry. I promise we're just here to relax." She kissed the other woman again before shuffling down to rest her head on Deanna's chest. "Though, I am counting the days until Beverly clears me for work again."

Date: 2017-08-10 02:18 pm (UTC)"Headaches again?" She whispered, trying not to talk too loudly. She knew how sensitive he could get when his migraines hit.
Kaidan nodded but didn't say anything. Shepard pressed a kiss to his shoulder and snuggled closer. "I figured that's why you missed your shift."
"Shep-"
"It's okay," Shepard assured, gently rubbing his back. "Take all the time you need." She placed a kiss to the back of his neck. "I know it can get bad."
Kaidan was quiet for a moment before finding one of her hands and intertwining their fingers. "Thank you, Shepard."

Date: 2017-08-10 12:55 pm (UTC)“Mrrumph!”
“I appreciate it hurts, but it will hurt a lot less if you stop trying to pull away as I undo the bandage.” Harold Finch glared down at John Reese, who was still trying to inch his way along the bed away from Finch. “Sit still! At least Bear had the sense not to resist when we were taking the thorn out of his paw.”
“Mrrumph!”
“Unless you’re claiming to have less intelligence than Bear?”
“I can do it myself,” Reese muttered.
“I’m sure you can. But it will take you three times as long and be even more painful.”
Finally Reese gave up and let Finch remove the bandage. He tried not to wince as the wound was cleaned and re-bandaged. Once Finch was satisfied with the result he leant down and gently kissed the bandage directly over the wound.
“There,” Finch said, “I’ve even kissed it better. Which I can assure you I didn’t do for Bear’s paw.”
“I might have done.”

Date: 2017-08-11 02:41 am (UTC)Grace sat on the curb, arms crossed over her knees even though it was an August afternoon in Honolulu and therefore way too hot to curl herself into a little ball. She rocked her knees back and forth, back and forth the way she would when she was a little kid in Grandma Williams's rocking chair.
If only she actually was a little kid, instead of a 16-year-old who had gotten in a car wreck one week after getting her license.
She gazed over towards where the patrol officer was talking to the other driver in front of her car with a grimace. The back was grotesquely dented from where the other driver had swiped her unexpectedly. She hadn't even seen him coming. It would take a lot of money to fix, if the car could even be salvaged.
Grace felt drops of warm rain plopping down on her head and looked up. She groaned when she saw the overcast sky overhead. Great, rain. Just what she didn't need. As if this day could get any worse.
She checked her phone messages again and saw the same message she had received from Danno a few minutes ago, telling her that he and Steve were on their way. Grace sighed. She was looking forward to going home, but she wasn't looking forward to the lecture she would probably receive once her dads arrived.
It wasn't even my fault.
Ten minutes later, Grace had checked her phone messages multiple times, growing only more anxious as time passed. She felt guilty about the car wreck, even though she had gone over the event multiple times and couldn't imagine what she could have done differently. And the rain had rapidly turned into a heavy downpour, leaving Grace feeling like a soggy mop and making her hair stick to her face.
She saw a car driving down the block, and straightened when she recognized Danno's Camaro. She gulped nervously when the car rolled to a stop.
Danno practically jumped out of the car before Steve had even parked it. Steve left a couple of seconds later, and soon they were both rushing towards her.
"Monkey, are you okay?"
"What happened, Gracie?"
Before Grace could even respond, they were suddenly there, Danno on her left side holding an umbrella over all their heads and Steve kneeling on her other side with a concerned expression.
Grace felt a lump in her throat, and she couldn't hold back the tears anymore. "I'm sorry. About the car and making you come here, and... and everything."
Danny wiped away the tears from her cheeks, which made Grace laugh. There wasn't really much of a point in wiping away her tears, considering how wet her face had gotten from the rain earlier.
"Are you okay?" She turned her head to face her other dad, who was gazing at her with something perilously close to what Danno termed his "aneurysm face." "Do you need to go to the hospital?"
She shook her head and saw Steve practically collapse from relief. She heard Danno mutter "Thank God" under his breath, so she figured that he was probably doing the same thing.
"I thought you guys would be more mad about the car." She squinted past the rain to where it was still sitting, looking more like something that belonged in a scrapyard than something that could ever be driven again.
"Monkey, cars can be replaced," Danno told her. "You can't."
"We were just worried about you," Steve confirmed. "You were our first thought."
"Yeah, you should have seen this guy." Danno gestured towards Steve with a smirk. "As soon as we got your text message, he treated it like some Navy SEAL tactical mission."
"Well, at least I had a plan. You were the one running around like a chicken with your head cut off."
Her dads started bickering about what had happened when they got her text message, and Grace grinned, comforted by the familiar routine. Her first car wreck had been a nerve-wracking experience, and she would still be without a car for the foreseeable future, but her dads had the power to turn an objectively awful day into something that Grace knew she could get through. For the first time since the wreck, Grace felt like she could truly breathe.
