Date: 2012-03-07 04:22 am (UTC)Leaving Tim to deal with the local officers Gibbs slowed from his run not wanting to scare the girl any more than she already was. He suddenly stopped seeing the girl wipe her eyes with a tissue handed to her by DiNozzo. The girl was watchign Tony's hands confidently reassure her, introduce his self, and explain what was going on. Gibbs watched the two of them talk only using sign language. DiNozzo was full of surprises, but right now seeing him taking care of the kid he couldn't have been prouder. Until he realized he would now have to be careful what he and Abby said to each other and wondering how long Tony had understood what they had said.

Date: 2011-10-16 07:31 am (UTC)Jason sat with his back against the wall smiling as he watched the people dancing in the square. The night was cool enough that the dancers weren’t overheating, but warm enough that no one wanted to go inside. The light from the full moon gilded the scene, and he took another drink from his never empty mug.
What a day. Jeremy and Candy had been married that afternoon. Joshua had announced his engagement to Molly. All good reasons to celebrate, but for Jason the most important reason of all, was that it was one year, to the day, since the brides had arrived in Seattle. He had won the bet with Aaron Stempel. Bridal Veil Mountain would remain his.
Lottie passed by with a pitcher of beer and filled his mug gain. “Careful, Lottie, you keep that up and I’ll need help getting home.”
“Nonsense, Jason. You can always sleep in my back room. This is a special day! Enjoy yourself!” She laughed and walked on, fililng mugs as she went. Jason chuckled and shook his head, but took another drink. Lottie was right this was a special day.
The evening wore on, a few people slipping away as the time past, but most of the town was still at the party. Jason leaned heavily against the wall, not sure he could stand up, much less walk home. He peered through the crowd, looking for Joshua, but he had trouble focusing. Looked like he was going to have to take Lottie up on her offer.
He almost fell off the bench when another body dropped heavily next to him. He turned to see Aaron Stempel.
“Jason, you are always in such control of yourself, I never thought I would see the day when you would be so drunk.” He laughed, his head thrown back, the moon casting a sliver glow over his features.
Jason stared at him mesmerized. It was as though he had never seen the man before. Had his features always been this sharp, his eyes this bright? Aaron continued, but Jason didn’t hear what he was saying, he was too entranced with watching his mouth move. Aaron stopped speaking and Jason started leaning towards him, suddenly overwhelmed with the desire to taste that mouth.
Aaron laughed again and stood up. “God, Jason, you really are out of it, you’re about to fall over. Come on, I’ll help you home.” He reached down and pulled Jason to his feet, placing Jason’s arm around his shoulder while his own arm went around Jason’s waist. The two men stumbled away from the town square and towards the Bolt family cabin at the edge of town.
The further away from the light and the noise of the party, the harder it was for Jason to walk and he leaned heavily on Aaron, his head dropping down onto Aaron’s shoulder. He took a deep breath, smelling the faint hint of cologne that Aaron had put on earlier in the day, mixed with the salty tang of sweat from when he had been dancing. On impulse he opened his mouth and licked Aaron’s neck.
